Overview of Responsibilities: The CNC Machinist will be required to set-up and operate both vertical and horizontal computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. The CNC Machinist must be familiar with a variety of CNC concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Job Elements:
Perform complex machining operations on a CNC milling machine can read and understand G-code
Mentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problems.
Extensive knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Produce quality parts in a timely manner.
Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specification, using precision measuring instruments
Work with Machinists, Project Managers and Engineers to solve problems and improve processes
Proper use of cranes for overhead lifting
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Required
High school diploma or GED required
5 years related machine shop experience or completed Journeyman papers years
Proficient knowledge of trigonometry and geometry machinist mathematical skills
Advanced knowledge of CNC machining technique.
Proficient at reading and understand measuring devices
Proficient at reading and understand blueprints and shop drawings including geometric tolerances.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 60 lbs. (unassisted)
Preferred
3 + 2 axis machining
Experience with Mastercam
Programming ability and/or experience
Associates degree in related field
